Our beautiful baby boy

Napoleon, the Neopolitain Mastiff that I’ve been sharing my home and my heart with for the last few years is having surgery tomorrow to amputate his leg because he has bone cancer. A sudden worsening of his pain Monday night made us take him to the emergency vet. Thinking it was just a simple knee injury, we remained calm. But then we learned the real reason for his pain. Bone cancer was eating away at his joints, leaving no cartilage. At first, the outlook was bleak. The doctor had little hope. We cried so many tears together, considering how if he could not walk and his pain was more than he could bear, it would be time to say goodbye. Anyone who reads this, please, give all your good thoughts and love to him tomorrow, so that he can make it through this. It would mean the world to us.
